CMA Foundation course is the entry-level course for the CMA program offered by the Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of India (ICAI), previously known as the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI). The CMA program is a professional certification course that provides in-depth knowledge of management accounting, financial accounting, and corporate finance. The CMA Foundation course comprises four subjects, which are as follows:

1. Fundamentals of Business Laws & Business Communication

2. Fundamentals of Financial & Cost Accounting
   

3. Fundamentals of Business Mathematics & Statistics
   

4. Fundamentals of Business Economics & Management
   

The Average duration of the Foundation course is of 6 Months. The exam is conducted twice a year, in June and December, and candidates must pass all the four papers to be eligible for the CMA Intermediate course. To enroll in the CMA Foundation course, students must register with the ICAI and complete the required eligibility criteria.
